Has anyone had experience buying household things here? I know they are essentially a re-distributor with some of their own 'in-house' stuff, but I'm looking at some of their flatwear. It is rather pricey (49.95/ 5-piece setting) but it looks nice, is dishwasher-able, and is good everyday simple stuff.

I will likely do my own google research, but I do value everyone's opinion.

I also apologize in advance for the flood of questions. My place closes on Friday, and I'm a bit anxious and trying to tie up all outstanding pieces.

We got ours there--we registered for it, but you should PM Delia. Her hubby designs flatwear (and other stuff) and some of it is sold through C&B.

Also got ours there for our everyday stuff, and it has held up well so far thru 5 years of daily married use :)

We registered for our flatware at C&B as well. We've had it for more than 8 years now and it has held up really well. RH is correct -- C&B does sell some lines that my husband designed, although not until after we got married so we don't have one of his. (He works for a company that sells to C&B, among other places.)

This is good to hear. They have one set called the 'twist' that I really like. Its long, heavy and still girly enough for my tastes. Its a bit expensive, and i'm not registering b/c there is no marriage on the horizon, but I'd collect it if I knew that it would last.

Delia, which ones did your husband design? Was it the twist ones? hahaha. That would be kind of a cool TOC connection to my table :) I actually liked almost all of them. They were really nice. Even the SS steak knives were quite attractive and a different alternative to wood handled ones.

Don't forget to look at sale or clearance flatware from them also, and they probably have some outlets or online store with some bargains too. I'm sure with the way the economy is that you will be able to get some great deals in the time leading up to the holidays.
