I just got a brand spanky new Canon EOS Rebel T3 - thank you Citicard points!!!!!

I'm completely new to DSLRs and apparently I was supposed to buy some kind of Class 10 memory card. So here's my question...8, 16, or 32 gb? Is there a particular brand you recommend?

Thanks!

Mine's an 8gb SanDisk, does the job. I'm not one that saves all of my pictures on the card though, so the small size works fine for me. If you're someone who wants to save them onto the card and keep them there, the bigger the better!

I have 2 8g cards... one for the dslr and one for the point&shoot. I like that size because it will hold a bunch of pictures for a week of horse showing or vacation. But like Lady, I upload them then delete them from the card

Same here for my new Nikon (yay birthday!). I bought the 8gb Sandisk recommended by the manufacturer and am careful to clean out photos I won't keep. So far so good!

Enjoy your camera! :cheer:

(does happy dance for you!) I have an older Rebel model
You are gonna LOVE this camera!!

You might keep an eye out for a (bargain priced or slightly used) long lens for it too

Thanks for the advice! Will look for an 8gb card this weekend.

Mac - a longer lens is next on my wishlist for my Citibank points! Since I just paid for a colic surgery with my credit card, it shouldn't take too long. :( and :)

Snaffle, enjoy the camera! I gave Mr. D a T3 for his birthday and he loves, loves, loves it.
