I tried riding mine in the indoor yesterday while it was raining and he was less than happy. So I took him into the outdoor in the pouring rain, puddles everywhere, nasty as hell, and he was happy as a clam to splash around. He LOVED it! My saddle wasn't as happy... |

I had a flatwork lesson in the rain on Monday - my poor new saddle. I just tried to think it would help break it in more. Seems to be fine. Last two lessons the GHH and I have had have been in downpours! Character-building, I guess?! |

I'm not sure how I'm even going to get home today after the downpour we had at lunchtime. It's still raining, but thankfully has lessened. I work up on top of a hill, but this is what the primary road I take looks like: http://youtu.be/jtsT-BIotz4 . Most of the roads in this area are shut down in various places because of flooding. I'm sure it will be a long commute this afternoon (it normally takes me 10 minutes). Even if I could get there, the barn is a washout as well, I'm sure! |

Ok Maya, you win. Uncle!! One of our basement sump pumps burned out last night. Water table is so high that water is coming up out of the sump pump hole and spilling out onto the floor. And after about an hour our little plug-in pump burned out too. So after that Mr. D and I took turns vacuuming out the sump pump hole with the shop vac every 45 minutes throughout the night. Now I wait for the plumber . . .

oh no delia!! see i was clairvoyant and was desparately trying to save you the agony of dealing with that so sorry you have to deal with flooding like that. NOT fun, we need some sun around here!On a positive note it hasn't actually rained yet since I've been up even though it looks imminent. I am holding out hope that Maya can have her lesson this PM. Ring wasn't bad in the inside track, outside track and jumping lanes not good last night. Hope you guys stay dry and have no further issues!! |

I agree about the rain, I live in Wilkes Barre, PA and we had to evacuate today. I live right next to the river and it's already at 33 feet, leavy only holds to 41 and it's supposed to crest at 8pm at 40.5. O.O I so wish we could send all this rain to Texas! |

OK, now I really don't want it to rain for a few days because a) my ring needs to dry some before I attempt to ride and b) we got free tickets to see Dierks Bentley tonight... and they're lawn seats so we'll get soaked if it rains!!! |

Oh no TTD, I had no idea you were in Wilkes Barre. I heard this morning about the evacuation. I feel silly complaining about my basement when so many others have it so much worse. Jingles that your town come through this OK.
