If 9/11 happened today, how would you watch it unfold?

Internet? - many of us watched the inauguration of President Obama on our computers
Smart Phone with internet - iPhone and CNN?

The TV - because that would be available?

Would it depend on the time frame of the event - at home = tv, at work = internet

Do you think the media would handle the situation differently now then they did then?

In what way??

What about 1st responders - Knowing what they know now about how long or not the building would stand - do you think they would focus on evacuation?

What do you think would be the targets of today?

Imagining impending doom is unhealthy (for me).
I foresee some lunatic will get hold of a nuclear device.
Nothing can prepare us for that, and retaliation by blowing up his/her country (and it's neighbors) is non productive.

If another 9/11 (non nuclear) happens I know I will be glued to every smart phone, TV, computer that is nearby.

I think it will be more mundane.

Like, our laptops, produced in other countries, will all have a timer/device on them. BOOM!

OR Super Bugs: diseases that seem at first not so much and then spread.

Actually, what is happening in the American financial system is being pretty effective at destroying us too.

Alternatively, a hacker could invade our computers and wipe us out electronically - think of what is stored electronic now: health stuff, financial stuff, all sorts of documents and paperwork. A few computer erasures and POOF! what of yours could be gone? Savings? Your house? Your job?

BH, my brain sometimes goes bonkers on this scenareo - I've got an imagionation that goes overtime. At its worst I can graphically imagine the damage that occurs to bodies say in the Civil War, or a bomb blast. At it's best I can imagine what prostetics would work to fix those issues.

It certainly won't be planes again. The chances of a potential hijacker surviving an attempt is virtually zero. After 9/11 a bunch of my special forces friends rode first class free, as a deterent. Trust me when I say anyone going for the cockpit was going to get to walk home from 30,000 feet-no long winded show trials with whining, lying defense attorneys for that bunch.

Something will happen again, I think that is inevitable. And whatever happens it will be horrible, people will be lost, and the rest of us will mourn and then go on the best we can. I believe 9/11 showed us what we are made of, and we know the world isn't ever going to be a safe place.
