So Eric & I have these two rings.. one is my old promise ring (although it's considered an engagement ring apparently), and the other is an old ring that his grandma left for him. Pictures:![]() ![]() Anyway. We don't want them, so we want to sell them. Had them both appraised, mine appraised for $2400, his grandma's appraised for $3400. Now, I'm well aware that they never sell for what they appraise for, but thought it'd be a good idea to have them done anyway. Other than that, I really know nothing about jewelry. I have mine listed on Craigslist but all I've gotten so far is emails from scammers. We've been told there probably IS a market for his grandma's ring, maybe to older women who still like yellow gold.. but where the heck do I find those women?? Anyone have suggestions? I'm stumped! |

I would look for a jewelry store which sells estate jewelry, a consignment store or an antiques buyer (for grandma's ring). |

Jewelry stores will be better than a pawn shop....do you have some sort of "Silver and Gold Exchange"?????? I'd try them first...then go around and let whoever offers you the most have them... I dig the second one.... HH

I would look for jewelry stores that sell estate jewelry for the second one, which I'm in love with by the way! There's a huge market for estate rings. |
