Here's where I expose my inner nerd... I made mine (extreme boredom + paint sale at Hobby Lobby = dangerous combination).

Registered name, sire, dam, breed logo

I made these for my old barn for shows

I like the regular brass ones but we have metal mesh type of doors so they don't really go on them. This place has lots of options http://www.starfishfarms.com/

Oh yeah here's her website:

http://www.hikingmedallion.com/

Neighland is so incredibly nice, I did a little graphics work for her this winter and she was lovely to deal with. I don't know if they have stall signs on their site but you could always PM her and see what she's got!

If you scroll down to the bottom part of this page, http://www.hikingmedallion.com/HorseShowAwards.html there are round and oval "awards". I think the oval ones would make great stall plaques!

Wow, impressive!!! I think if I tried to paint a picture of my horses on their stall signs it would look like I had woodchucks, not horses. I'm not exactly gifted in the fine arts...... ;)

I do the plain plastic engraved plates and get them from Starfish Farm (it was hard finding someone to do the American Hanoverian logo, if you can believe that?!)

I used to always do

Showname
"Barn Name"
My Name

But then Somerset came along and thwarted that by having the same show and barn name. So now I just do

Showname
My Name

With the breed logo on the side

I did these like 10 years ago (my god that was a long time ago!) and one for a COTHer for Secret Santa that had a painting of her little pinto horse, but I can't see to find that image...

I <3 you guys!! :) Thanks so much for the kind things! Flashie rocks, still thank you for putting up with my intermittent emails we LOVE our new logo! :) The new packaging looks fab, its taken a little while to iron out the kinks, but I think we've got it now!

I haven't devoted as much time as I should to the horse/stall plaque line, but they've done super well considering the time I have spent on them (in slow months I work/promote them, but am typically too busy to give it the time it deserves), and am ecstatic that Blenheim picked them up this year, its gotten a lot out there for sure!! I've kind of tried to come up with a way I could do one of's for people, since I mainly do minimums of 25, and the only way I've come up with something is to do a a generic one w/a hunter, or dressage horse....that has to be engraved at the local trophy shop with your info. I don't know if that will fly or not with the general public, and I've tweaked a few designs, but have come up with this one for a hunter, (it still needs some work especially in the bridle area, but it gives a good concept) I may run a few and see how they do when locallly engraved.... I'd love to get something like this in Dover/Smart Pak.....although I think it may sell on ebay, if I could get traffic to them..... Would love to hear feedback on those who do use plaques?? The bottom part metal would be where you could engrave your name.... and I'm think I could work the screws into where the nail holes are on the shoe.

You guys that do them by hand are awesome, I've never been that artistic to draw, if I attempted it, it would totally look like a 4 year old did it!! :)

Oooh - I LIKE those. And if I could find a nice looking blank I'd have no problem getting it engraved locally... and I'm more than happy to be a guinea pig! Only catch is that we're not hunters...

I went to Michael's yesterday, and realized that there was no way I could pull off something that looked good :teehee: I can picture it, but execution is a challenge.

We have wall brackets on all the stalls, and my boss and I have visions of nice nameplates on all of them. However, the budget isn't there, so we're currently rocking nameplates made out of cardstock in our barn colors (black/tan). It actually looks pretty nice, although I still want to replace them at some point!

Thanks Taryn! :) Let me work on a dressage horse version for you.......things are starting to slow down, but can't promise I'll be super speedy, but will try to get something next week to you. I'd love to have a guinea pig or three ;) hehe!! What kind of price would you guys think they are worth/pay, they are a die struck brass and then plated in colors, so over years/wear if you plate in nickel the finish will wear off a bit and show through to brass, but I've had one in my flower bed for 9 months and it still looks new...was curious how it would wear in weather conditions.

Here is the grooming box with a few on it as well!
