I really don't think so Gunnar. We're buying him from his breeder and she would have been happy just to keep him as a companion and i know it was very hard for her to let him go. The only reason she did was because she wants him to be ridden and out there showing and getting love from a little girl. So, I'm sure she doesn't know of any lameness, and I don't think it is any kind of serious issue, just either his poorly done feet or a fitness issue. |

Well, that stinks he's still NQR. I'm with Steph, try to get the PPE scheduled soon before you and Maya get more attached. I did Remi's the fourth day he was here on trial and I'm really glad I didn't wait, because had I waited, it would have been more difficult to send him back if he hadn't passed. Plus it was nice to find out he was A-OK and be able to relax about that part of it and concentrate on whether or not he'd work for me riding-wise. If it turns out to be a strength issue, the vet can tell you what sort of exercises to do and you'll still have a few weeks to see if he'll be suitable for Maya. Or he may need his stifle injected which wouldn't be a big deal, but better to do it sooner than later so you can see what you really have there. Just my .02!!! |
