I saw a very loose horse cross in front of the cart carrying the couple. Run away!

How is that even possible Indy? that is THE singularly craziest thing I have heard in my lifetime I almost have to get in the truck and come down to prepare a good scone for you so we can make sure that is the truth. Seriously. I was up at 5 which was perfect timing. Saw the MOB arriving and everyone after that. I loved it all, shed a tear here and there. Thought they were prefect, stealing glances and smiles and small chats when possible. There was some hand holding in the carriage later. It just must have been amazing for them with such huge crowds and so much noise and the bells and everything. Just wow! I loved her dress too and the little attendants were so darling So many cool hats, there's a few hat makers in London who are retiring after that I bet Princesses Eugenia and Beatrice had the worst hats in my opinion. Really.bad.hats, It was so magical, somewhat modernizing of the Royals. She could be the first Queen that has attended University and also to have lived with her fiancee. I think it's awesome that her parents helped pay for the wedding, even if it was a fraction of the cost. I kept wondering if it really is something you would wish for your daughter and kept coming up with a resounding NO. I do think that William and their family has done everything possible to prepare her for that life but at some point I guess you just have to live it and hopefully not crack. that she is happy and content in it

Well said BT. ![]() I think it is also great that they waited until they were both a little bit older and perhaps more ready to accept the roles. I loved it all too, except for poor Princess and Eugenie's hats. They were REALLY awful. Poor girls. I alomost feel sorry for Camilla today...almost. It must be a very awkward position for her, but then again, she chose it. |

I missed Eugenie and Beatrice's hats. I'll have to google for pictures of those. Some of the little fascinators just seem to defy the laws of gravity, I wonder how they stay up on the head. I do think it's good that Kate is older and has been around William's family for so long. She knows what life she is marrying into and hopefully has been properly prepared. It seems as though she has been, at least as much as one can be prepared for such a life. I just hope that their story continues to be a happy one. I'm watching ABC New's recap of the wedding now, hoping to catch stuff I missed since I had to get ready for work just after they got in the carriage. On a funny note, when Barbara Walters was naming random royals as they entered Westminster Abbey, she pointed out the Duke of Kent and then I thought she said that he was no longer in the line of succession because he married a Capulet (like from Romeo & Juliet). I was so surprised that there were still Capulets around that I looked him up....yeah...his wife is a Catholic, not Capulet. Apparently my ears don't handle Barbara's accent well at 5am... |

I recorded the BBCA version and am watching it now as I prepare chicken enchiladas with cilantro cream sauce for dinner tonight with KMD"s boss. Anyway, the BBCA coverage is SO nice! THey're giving more history about the abbey and it's treasures and the royal family and it's quite cool. If you get the chance to catch it...DO! So much more in depth I think and FAR more interesting. ![]() OOOO they are actually interviewing a mounted guard in the stables now talking about the preparation. THere are horses in the aisles and they are tacking up and polishing hooves. I think it's the histroy that I love. All the tradition Edited by jillincolorado, Apr 29 2011, 07:01 AM.

I found pictures of Eugenie & Beatrice's hats....wow....those were....well...fascinating. Especially Beatrice's...it was like a giant bow had popped straight out of her forehead, and not in a good way. |

Unfortunate too because I think her dress was very interesting and beautiful, but the hat just stole the show...and not in a good way. I thought Eugenie's dresss looked very dated and too old for her. Poor girls I wouold certainly hate to be under the microscope. |

It was perfect. I love this type of stuff. It was amazing! She looked so much like Grace Kelly.... I didn't mind Beatrice's fascinator, i thought it was quite lovely. The milliners in London would have done very well for themselves. Those hats cost a small fortune. I used to get new hats made for the races in Australia and some of them cost up to 2000+ dollars. I cannot imagine what the named designer (the one that did all the hats for the family in the past) would have charged!!! |

She looks like a queen. I hope she is a good one. I loved seeing Wills kiss his mother-in-law before the ceremony. He is so kind. His mum would be proud. |

I think she will be, she seems to have a very level head about history and tradition meeting present day. Well, as much as can be told by her actions so far. Haha Indy, good description But I agree her dress was pretty and it's kind of too bad about the hat.I don't feel badly for Camilla, I think she is doing really well. It's reported that the boys really love her and appreciate her now and are thrilled to see their father so happy. Charles is trying to get her to be able to be Queen still, we'll see how that goes. Phillip looks very dashing for a 90 yr old man. I thought Elton and David looked great too. Missed the Beckhams sadly, how did she look? |

I thought so too. He looked FAB! Becks looked yummy Posh looked stunning.I thought Sir Elton John looked rough. Wouldn't it be nice if there was a charity auction with all the attendees hats donated? Think of the millions of pounds that could bring in! I can't imagine the security! All those foreign dignitaries. |

Fantastic Idea BH, I think you should suggest it! I thought it was cool that they had invited a homeless woman that Wills befriended when he slept under the bridge. I guess he was doing it to understand more about how the homeless live which is pretty incredible instead of just throwing money at them. Although the guests were pretty packed in, even the "lower Royals"

Yes. Her mum lived to 101, so we could have another nearly 20 years of The Queen. Then Charles (and his bride), then Wills. |

Yeah, I just looked it up she died in 2002. 101 and she was going till only weeks before she died. That family must do something right to be so long lived. I dont think the queen is going anywhere soon. LOL She still looks healthy as a horse.
