OMG I can't stand it. I leave on Friday and drive to Missouri to pick up my new puppy!!!! Our plan is to meet her on Friday, let her stay with her brother one more night. Let them play until tired on Sat, then load her up and drive home. It is about a 10 hour drive but not a hard one. I am so excited, I can NOT focus at work.... however I need to. Gabby is well traveled already so I do not anticipate any issues there. She has I think more states under her belt already than my dogs at home. Here are some pics the other pups mom sent me yesterday. I do hate breaking up Gabby and Ruger, they are buds.. sorry Gabby, sorry Ruger.... Ann ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

She will be almost 8 weeks when I get her, so she is almost 7 weeks in these pictures. Jeannie had entered hunt tests with Gabby's big sister Bang, Bang is a full sister from the litter last year. Someone had to take care of momma and the pups so she took them with. Pups stayed in the car, in the crate.... They went to KY for one. Then she went to visit the Miner's who live in IL and train Bang....Gabby got to go for a ride. She took them to another friends who had a litter of pups about 2 weeks older than Gabby and Ruger, they got to play with other puppies. Good socialization....So my pup has gone a lot of places. Riding in a car should be no big deal. When we got Quinn our lab pup last winter, she was born late Oct in MN. Within 10 days of being born, it was 20 below there. Quinn did not go outside until we took her out to put her in our car. Ok I lied, they took her to the vet but still... When we picked her up, they had gotten over 3 feet of snow the two days prior. She was VERY good in the car (I was impressed) however... she was NOT putting up with the cold outside stuff, put her back in her warmth! That didn't last long. Ann |

Oh she's so so cute I know EXACTLY how you feel CRAZY excited!!!I bet she will be just fine in the car. Finn slept his way from Boston to Toronto and just woke up for sort stops and pee breaks. The only problem I had was that he was a bit turned around after that and wanted to play for a few nights But you will get her on the right track with all of your doggy experience. Nice to hear she's been well socialized, it sure makes a big difference! Can't wait for our pictures. Safe travels and gentle hugs to Gabby

Safe travels on your puppy road trip! We got Delia at 7 weeks, and she was the first pup to be taken away from her litter. She was just the saddest puppy in the world during the car ride home, and then for the rest of that first day/night with us. But she woke up a happy puppy the next day, as she has done every day for the 8 years since.

She is so freaking cute. That's so great that she's been exposed to traveling so much already, that will definitely benefit her in life! |

So adorable! They do look big in the pictures! They will miss each other at first but the'll adapt quickly, I"m sure! My (now 9 month) old puppy was always the puppy that liked to prop himself up while he slept (on a littermate in a pile, usually) and still props himself up on us, pillows, whatever when he sleeps, and also when he plays. He'll prop himself up on the arm of the couch to chew a toy. So funny how their personalities can be so set at such an early age. Can't wait to hear all about Gabby and her cross country adventures!
