Yeah mum!
My mum's granddogs just went to visit. She had gone out walking with some Veterans - all wearing USA flags  on their lapels

 Just wanted to say that after one week at my house mom has gained 3 lbs. That's a big deal as she's consistenly lost weight every week since August when her chemo started. I'll have her fattened up by christmas!! :teehee:

Delia, is she feeling better now?

I'm close, it's perfectly easy for me to make up some oatmeal/chocolate cookies if you need something that's both healthy and sweet for her to snack on. Okay, they aren't SUPER healthy, but if I make them with applesauce instead of butter it's apples, oats, and chocolate. That has to be healthy, right? They're not particularly crunchy either.

Good news here too. Stepmom being moved back to the assisted living to be with my Dad on Wednesday. That means we can all have Thanksgiving together. This will be the first Thanksgiving in I bet about 35 years that my Dad will have with ALL three of his kids. Being that it could very well be his last, that is a wonderful thing!
Getting my stepmom out of the nursing home and back to the apt. meant getting her a 24 hour a day health care assistant, in addition to the nursing care at the facility where they live. This was the requirement of the NH to release her. We will reassess that need at 30 days.

Hope that everything goes well on Thursday. :luck: that my Dad is feeling well and able to enjoy the day, and that my stepmom does well with all the excitement and changes. There is definitely potential for disaster here, but I'm hoping for the best. :luck:
