The contracts are being held up again. :( I swear, I just give up on the idea of moving to Colorado, then we get a call that says everything is a go...only to be told a week later that the contracts will take a bit longer. So...*sigh* still waiting. :( Can't pack...can't put the house on the market...I just feel trapped and frustrated. Kiltman and I are both pretty edgey and we both feels like nothing is settled. It's hard to live in the "here and now", but I've started putting out halloween decorations and focus on getting things done here. Not easy.

At least the weather is nice right now and I go for my final (hopefully) MRI in three weeks which means I can start working Luna again. :luck: :luck: :luck:

well Jill I certainly know the feeling  it was almost exactly a year ago that we were in a similar situation with our move from CT to VA. We were tentatively scheduled to have movers on Oct 14 and to close on Oct 15 but didn't have a signed contract - nor a mortgage approval for our buyers - until Oct 12 at 5 PM exactly :jaw:

So yep we packed up our whole house in oh about 2 days and then made a huge move away from friends and family...and we really didn't get to say goodbye because we didn't know if we were actually going to be moving! Trust me I know how it feels and it sucks, no other way to say it. Nothing worse than buying and selling a house, nothing! :jingles: that you get word soon!

Thanks guys. Good to know I'm nopt the only one whos has ever been "here". ;) I was mostly typing out loud out of frustration. Seems silly to complain about somethinbg so basically trivial, when people are having health issues and such.

Kiltman's boss did call yesterday and was very upbeat. Told him that the initial "approval" has gone through (again) and it's supposed to be a done deal by late next week sometime. To make things interesting, the job in the Springs has been calling again, but won't have any answers for a couple of months. All the govt. contracts are so messed up with the shuttle roll-over and all the cut backs. Good news is that the initial budget was approved in the House, so things should start to turn around a bit. Just takes time.

MayaTy I can't believe you packed and everything without a contract!!! Holy crap. I'll bet you ate Mylanta like candy for a month. :o

Crossing my fingers for you guys!! Hopefully things smooth out and you have an answer soon. I know how stressful it is to be "in between" homes and locations. I think the tactic of just going along like normal while you are in TX is best. For the moment you are there so might as well live it, kwim? Hang in there, in 6 months you will probably moved and settled and all this limbo will be a distant memory!
