Ok so I posted about losing Pete, but not all bad happened this past week. On Tuesday 9/28 at 11:36 PM my new puppy was born! She is a golden retriever, she will bring my dog count to 4. Yup I am insane. LOL This is a really great breeding, incredible lines and clearances. She should be a high octane pup. There were 3 pups total, my little girl was too impatient to wait and was the first one into the world. Unfortunately pup #2 a boy, got stuck backward in the birth canal. After a trip to the clinic to help out the momma, he was still born. Poor little guy. However pup number 3 is also a boy and doing great. There were two reservations, one for a male and one for a female (me) perfect! Pups are doing well. I really wish I could post pictures from my computer I have some to share. My breeder started calling my pup Gabby as she is vocal and opinionated. I like that name so that is going to be her call name. Her brother is Ruger. Now I need to think of a registered name. Momma is "Blazinlakes Legally Blonde" call name Reese, she is sired by one of the best field golden retrievers to walk this earth. His name was Rosehill's Mr Speaker. He died last Nov at the age of 15. Daddy is "High Time's What A Hoot" aka Hootie. He is the only OTCH (highest title in obedience), MACH (highest title in agility) MH (master hunter highest title in AKC hunt tests), QAA (qualified all age in field trials hunt tests on steroids), UDX13 (utility obedience title he has achieved 13 times) and he is the only golden retriever with all these titles. He has also been accepted to the obedience hall of fame, and agility hall of fame by the GRCA. So this is a very special puppy and I am so glad she will be my next pup. Of course here's hoping nothing happens.... So if you want to help me play the name game... I have to have "Smoking Gold" in the name for the kennel. I would love to pull daddy and grand daddy some how. Some of the contenders are: Smokin Gold Where's the Party (all goldens love to party) Smokin Gold Hootin and Hollerin Smokin Gold Blondes R A Hoot (but Gabby is a REDHEAD) Smokin Gold Leave Em Laughing I keep thinking there has to be something using law something and speaking, the throw in a hoot for good measure. Congratulations on the puppy! :D What about Smoking Gold Hootenanny. There's apparently not only the "party" meaning to the word, but also the following (although from Wiki...so take with a grain of salt): "Hootenanny" was also used by the leadership of early firefighting battalions to describe a "meeting of the minds" or higher ups of various department heads. The term has trickled down to working companies and is now used, with some frequency, at working incidents and other circumstances that require a focused discussion between key individuals. Most recently is was adopted for use during the annual Fire Department Instructors Conference. Logistics professionals for the conference employ the word to call together the required personnel needed to accomplish the prodigious assignments placed on them." |

You know... I had interest in a litter earlier this year that the breeding didn't take. Hootie was the dad on that one too. However this is a better mommy... Anyway... I thought I could call that pup "Rednecks' Hootenanny".... So maybe..... |

Congrats on the new addition! We need pictures of the little girl. I love "Hootin and Hollerin" for her name. That's one of my favorite phrases, my southern-Indiana college roommate would use it all the time, except it was "a-hootin and a-hollerin" from her. |

I thought Smoking Gold Legal Gabble or Smoking Gold What A Legal Gabble. For some reason when I think about your puppy I think "Legal Terms" or the like. But I have been looking at legal contracts for the last three days!

You can! If you go to the full reply page on a thread, down below the quoting section is an "attachment" section. You can attach a few files per message from your own computer so long as they're not super-duper huge.

If this works... here are pictures. Gabby does not have the white on her head. That is her brother Ruger. I love their fat tummies, and the feet picture. They sure have a lot of food. LOL Ann |
