My wedding is next weekend--I'm finally starting to freak out a bit. I'm realizing all the things I have left to do and the things I haven't even thought about scheduling--like I just realized I should probably get my nails and toenails done before it so that they don't look bad in pictures, right?

Still need to calligraphy seating assignments

Still waiting for the party favors to arrive in the mail

Getting my haircut Friday which could go horribly wrong, you never know

...and someone from out of town wants to try my horse the friday before my wedding :innocent:

Yup, I'm freaking out just a wee bit.

Remember the most important thing is to have a GREAT day and relish every moment. Everything else will fall into place.

Totally understandable! I took a training course the week before my wedding and ended up on all fours on the floor of the dorm room they had housed us in. I had totally thrown my back out -- stress much? :shoot:

Take some time for yourself, if you can, even if only for a few minutes when things get crazy. You will only have this week before your wedding once, remember that this is supposed to be fun...

Also, when all your friends, relatives, etc., ask what they can do...tell them! Start taking some of the things of your to-do list and hand them over. They will love to help and you won't have so much to do.

Everything will be done in time, and it will be lovely. Repeat. Now breathe... ;)

You're allowed one or two freak-outs before we start to smack you around!

As for the mani/pedi -- they won't show up in photos, but it's a great way to treat yourself to an hour where you just sit down, read a stupid US Weekly and relax a little bit.

Everything else will be FINE. Honest. Even if not one more thing gets done between now and the wedding, it will be beautiful. Mr. RH won't be cueing up the processional music from the alter with a remote, so you're home free, right? ;)

How exciting! Can't wait to hear all about it....

Lists are your friend, make ONE of them. Nothing better for pre-wedding nerves than scratching things off a list! Big Day has it right, delegate to trusted friends and relatives whenever possible...

Don't do anything drastic w/ your hair. Now's not the time, and then no surprises.

Like the wise ones before me, try to enjoy every minute. It goes by way too fast!

:luck: :luck: to you and Mr. RH!! Congratulations!

Are you writing the assignments yourself or having someone do it? I did my own, not calligraphy, and it was fine. Most people just want to know where they are sitting...don't care what it looks like. Favors....meh. If they don't show up, no one (but you, of course) will care. But don't stress out about them. If your hair is "not you", you can say you did it "special" for the wedding. ;)

My photographer took pictures of our hands w/ rings (which I actually think was kind of a cheesy shot) and my nails look terrible because I allowed a friend who was a director at vocational school to talk me into letting the cosmetology students do my nails. I should have gone with the Lee Press-On nails like I planned. But in the end, I hate the picture of our hands anyway, so who cares. But if you enjoy mani/pedis -- you should absolutely get one. You'll like the results and it will be some down time for you.....and people will ask to see your ring(s) so you might as well show them off.

If those are the only freak out issues, you are all set. (Of course the horse is a different story). But it sounds like the wedding is all set!

Enjoy your wedding -- have fun and of course you have to share the pictures!!

Remember that in the end it is the marriage that matters. Everything else is just details. If you end up married to someone you love at the end of the day, the day is a success.

This... the wedding day is nice, but the marriage is what it is all about.

Breath in... exhale.

Can't wait to see pictures :)

my only advice is, don't worry, despite all your planning, something WILL go wrong, and you know what, it won't matter. For us, it was forgetting to order champagne :teehee: but thankfully our caterer had a basement full of it so they ran and got some. In fact my anniversary is today, 13 years, and I can guarantee no one remembers all the little things, just that it was a great party, the food was good, and heck we're still married  .

So, deep breath, get some help from husband to be or friends and RELAX. It will be over in a flash and you want to enjoy yourself! Congrats!!

:woot: :woot: I was there! Congratulations!! 13 years! Wow! :cheer: And I don't look any older, nor do YOU!!! How does that happen?? ;)

So I can attest to the only things I remember were the beautiful bride & groom and the bride's beautiful dress. Beautiful church. A cool location for a reception. Can't remember anything about the food or champagne (or lack thereof) which means it must have been good or I'd remember that. I think there was a band...I do remember dancing. Have a great picture of the bride & her dad....but yep...if anything went wrong I certainly didn't notice it, let alone remember it!

Make a list - see what you can delegate and do it - people want to help and will be happy if they can lend a hand on your special day. I say yes to the mani/pedi because it will make you feel good and you never know if you get a close-up shot of your hand holding the bouquet or something...

Can't wait to hear all about it!
