Hi everyone...
I know I haven't been posting much but I have been following along lurking away whenever I can! I need your help picking show photos of my girl from our experience at the Royal Winter Fair in Toronto last year!

The Story...
It has been a dream of mine since I was a little girl to show a horse there, and since I don't have the A circuit budge as of now to show a hunter there, I decided to try to qualify my 3 yr old for the Governor General (in hand) and Lieutenant Governors (under saddle) Cup Classes. Having never shown a horse in hand before it was a great learning experience. My little mare showed her character in the qualifying rounds, and ended up qualifying 6th in hand (of 40) and 3rd under saddle of 44.

She went into downtown Toronto like she was on a really cool adventure and settled into the Horse Palace like she had been there a million times before. I rode her that afternoon with the likes of Ian Millar, Beth Underhill and other show jumping superstars, and she didn't bat an eye at the excitment even though I was feeling quite nauseated!

She spent some time prepping overnight (lets face it... she is quiet, but even for her cantering in a group of 20 3 year olds is worthy of a good romp!) and getting made beautiful and seemed completely relaxed.

We entered the coliseum at 7 am sharp, and she stood on the line like a pro! Ears pricked, looking at me the whole time with a look of relaxed attentivenes. I was so proud of her I just kept telling her over and over and over how she was a good girl and how much I loved her right at that moment. She was also good in the undersaddle, except for the part where she shut down as another 3yr old came charging directly at her.

We didn't win, we didn't get even get a prize. Honestly, I don't care. She made my dream come true... and that's all that matters. My skinny, little, unhandled, 2 year old ugly duckling had blossomed into the proverbial swan.

It wasn't until I got the proofs in the mail that I realized that she had shot her rump up in the days before the class! :teehee: I want photos as a momento of that day, so can y'all help me pick??

In Hand 1

In hand #2 is my favorite of the three in hand. Head shot is great. Undersaddle 1 link brings me to the head shot again. Undersaddle 3 is nice.

That's awesome that you got to show her at there! Congrats!

I like the first In-hand picture best I think. I love the head shot. For the undersaddle photos, I like #2 best.

I think both of the #2"s are my favorites also. Apparently we can fix ears and remove people from the background too! I fixed the link to the 1st undersaddle photo so that you all can get to see her looking fiercely determined!! :teehee:
