Found a pair of these field boots on ebay and the name is ringing a bell, like that maybe this was the brand of semi custom boots I had when I was a kid (and have long since been tossed). Anyone know anythign about them? I assume the maker is out of business because I am not getting anything when googling. |

My first "new" tall boots were Elan. I think I got them at Miller's, would have been in the mid-eighties? I don't think they've been around for a long time! They were a good Vogel knockoff back in the day.

Miller's made them for sure! They were a nice boot, but the ones you're looking at have got to be 15+ years old - confirm their condition if you're planning to bid! I had a friend once who hadn't worn her boots in a couple of years (or more) and when she pulled one on it FELL APART, lol! The stitching had disintegrated from just sitting around. If they're in good condition the Elans are pretty nice boots, though. ETA - I just looked at them on eBay - they don't look like the Miller's I'm thinking of...and they read "Beaumont Elan"...Hmmm, it's possible you should ignore everything I just said, lol!
