I'm not really familiar with the brand and was hoping some of y'all might be. The jumping saddles in particular. Opinions on quality, or "feel" for the rider?

They really know how to put a saddle together. Customize it to fit you and the horse. They have a lot of saddle fit/construction videos online. Went to the fair at Timonium and sat in a dressage saddle, fit like a glove, but I was hunter at the time. :teehee:

Well I'm getting it on trial, because I'm impatient and impulsive. :innocent: Should be here next week.

Quality is good, about the same as the other higher-end brands (County, Black Country, Antares, etc.) Personally I think the FLAIR system is a marketing crock--difficult to adjust correctly to a horse's back, even harder to KEEP adjusted to a horse's back, and then you're in the awkward position of either attempting to adjust it yourself (bad idea) or calling out a Schleese rep to adjust it (expensive idea).

But I have no complaints about the wool-flocked Schleese saddles, at least in theory. I have sat in several and they're nicely constructed and balanced. The resale on them can be difficult; IMO they are not as "in style" as they were perhaps 5 years ago.

I love my Schleese, but mine is dressage and I know nothing about their jumping saddles. I'm also not a fan of the Flair but love the wool-flocked. My saddle-fitter says they are very well constructed and hold up well, and you have to love the adjustable tree.

The one I have coming is wool, not Flair. I would not want the Flair either.

Thanks for the feedback so far. :)
