I just bought a boy with some color also. He's a 6 year old 1/2 welsh Gelding. 13.2 hands. I don't normally go for Pintos, but I really like him. Silver Snaffle's Victory, barn name, Panda. Jumping pic added. I took a picture of my computer screen, so it's a bit blurry, but you can see why I don't mind that he has spots. Edited by Witchy, May 16 2010, 06:18 PM.

He's adorable! Look at how he points his little toes. And I love his barn name.

I love him! He's adorable I'm very partial to things with spots. The little white spot on his face is so cute, a perfect target for kisses

Yeah, you snuck that photo in after my original post. It's just a shame you couldn't find anything with a better jump.

What a freaking cutie! I was laughing yesterday - we are horse showing this week and my trainer, myself, and a couple others were sitting at the barn watching the schooling rings and there were like 4-5 pintos on the grounds and out of their stalls at once and this is a small show (AA rated however). And Mr Trainer had always said that he'd never have a pinto if he could help it and there are 3 in his barn right now! They are taking over I personally like a little color Of the 'perfect' horses and ponies I think of for a novice or intermediate rider several are pintos. I think the ones I know are SO cool (maybe not the FANCIEST things but certainly the cutest sweetest things) because they HAVE to be extra special because they are so flashy!Congrats on the new addition - SO cute. Can't wait to hear more and see more pictures. |

Having a pinto is the best and worst thing in the show ring, especially in big classes. If you're good, there's absolutely no way the judge will mix you up with just another grey pony or forget about you...but if you're bad, the same thing applies. It's hard to blend into the crowd when you're covered in spots and racing around the jumps at 90 mph...trust me
