So as you all know, in January, I made some resolutions and since we are at the almost half way point to 2010, I thought I would give you all an update....

I started weight watchers and am still on it, although it is now a life style rather than a diet. I dont stick to it rigidly because food makes me happy and I LOVE good food, wine and beer and entertaining. I just keep it all in moderation. So far, I have lost about 35 pounds. I dont really keep track but I do step on the scales once a week.

None of my clothes fit. And this is depressing the crap outta me. I have invested a lot in my wardrobe and now I have to do it all over again. And I am not happy about this at all. Some of the things may be alterable but most cannot be. Even my FEET are smaller so all of my nice shoes dont fit right.

And I am still running. I doubt that I will ever enter a race, but I am running 3 or 4 times a week, with one of them being a long, Sunday morning run. I have my 5K time down to just below 30 minutes, but my 10k time needs some work. My goal is to increase my long run to 15K by the end of may and my regular runs to 10K. I am really enjoying it. I stick my ipod on, start my gps and off I go. Sometimes Tucker Dog comes along, but he needs to poop and pee and sniff and it screws up my time -- especially when I have to carry THE BAG :rolleyes: I do time it though so that we do the poop stop when I am close to a garbage can :teehee:

And Tigger is going well. He is now 4 and learning all of the time, although lately, he thinks he would like to "drive" a bit more -- we have an ongoing debate during shoulder ins and leg yields. He thinks the MINUTE I turn him on the quarter line, he MUST start leg yielding. :rolleyes: And his canter transitions are quite explosive sometimes. But, at the end of the day, I am enjoying my beast.

So there you have it. Almost 6 months in, less of me in the world, more of Tigger in the world, and I am doing okay.

You've lost 35lbs and you're SAD about it? LOL, you've succeeded with a very difficult task, sell the stuff that doesn't fit (eBay, White Elephant) and enjoy the shopping you get to do for your new, healthier self. Congratulations!!! :woot:

Moms and pops are coming for mother's day this weekend and they will take pictures of the boy and me and I will be sure to post them.

So how is everyone else doing? We all started out together in January on this adventure...

I have lost 15 lbs. since January. 3 of those pounds were in the OR, so I guess that doesn't count. ;) I'm now at 150, and I'm 5'7, so I'm happy with my weight now. Of course, I'd like to be a lot tighter and carry less around the waist, but almost every women feels that way at the age of 50 I guess.
I've gone back to running as well since the weather has improved. I can't do too much because of my disc problems, but I get out a few times a week and do about 2 miles of up and down hills. It's not much, but I figure it's way better than nothing. Still do tons of walking with Cocoa as well.
This thread comes at a good time, because I have been struggling with temptation in the food area lately. I have a reunion in August so I'm using that as motivation.

These threads help me a lot, they are a good reminder to keep up the hard work.
