I just thought I would let you know that our first event of the season is May 7-9 at the Woodland Stallion Station. If any one is free that weekend I would love to meet you!

Did you know there really is monkeypox? A few of us at work had to get smallpox vaccine (long story) and the paperwork we had to sign said we would have "some" protection from monkeypox. :duh: I looked it up before I got the shot :jaw:
Probably easier to just take pictures, CDE ;)

I did not know that BH! So ypu can interact with monkeys and have "some" protection now? That's comforting. Not. :teehee: I was threatening THIS Monkey pox:

There is no vaccine and it is incurable :nyah:

Look at the effect he has on even dear, sweet Lily: (Video)

Not to hijack this thread . . . but OMG Jaci! Is Monkey a whippet? Does he desperately, pleadingly want to touch and/or lick humans, pets, whatever's available, practically every waking moment of the day? Our Pepper is a redbone coonhound mix, and I'm thinking more and more that the "mix" part is whippet. Pepper sometimes has the same effect on Mr. Delia as Monkey seems to have on Lily. :psycho:

Oh, the more the merrier! I hope you all can come!

Last year there was one hazard in the main area that everyone can see. It is also in the area where the start/finish and vet checks are located. So lots of action in one spot.

I did ask if more hazards will be viewable (is that a word?) from that location this year. I will let you know what I hear.

From last year, waiting to start...

Here is a photo from last year at that hazard...

I did inquire to the organizer regarding how easy the hazards will be to see for spectators that could be "mobility challenged". I know that most of her response won't mean anything to you all, but the gist is that she will help folks get to see as much as possible!

The Hazards are a little more grouped this year. We moved the culverts closer in. They are where the grape boxes were last year. The grape boxes were moved up the hill and are in visual sight of both the culverts and Lincoln corner ( the boxed trees). The new tire hazard is on the edge of the cow pasture right next to the forest hazard. So...your friends could see 3 Hazards pretty easily in one spot and two hazards in another. What is their situation? They would be able to drive a car to an area right near Lincoln corners and then it would be a short walk to the other two hazards. I would be glad to assist them or direct them to a good viewing spot.

Sure hope to meet some of you there!
