OMGIH.

LF, I can totally sympathize. I finally got back on the yoga/pilates bandwagon this week, and it's been ROUGH. Monday was yoga, Tuesday was pilates, and tonight was more yoga. My abs are screaming at me, and if I hear chair position or chaturanga again, I will say something not nice. An extended period in plank pose had me uttering things that rhyme with mothertrucker. :innocent:

Tomorrow night I'm just going to settle for taking the dogs for a walk. That will probably be all I can manage anyway.

But it really does work if you're consistent with it. A few months before my wedding, I was running, doing yoga and pilates ... I felt so good and toned. That was a while ago though. Now I'm just hoping to get through the entire 30-minute workout without embarrassing myself too much.

Good luck to you and Mrs. LF. :) And please keep the hilarity coming. ;)

In one of my first classes the instructor led an "advanced" [hint...I should have watched!] "plank around the world". Haha, seems innocent enough, right?? But it was something like 2 minutes each of regular plank, then side plank, then inverted plank, then the other side...who invented such a ridiculous exercise?? And I ended up loving pilates but "plank around the world" is some sort of torture!!

Happy to hear your wife will be fine!
As for Yoga/ Pliates, Well I think Joseph Pilates was a Sadist! LOL
I have been going to the Gym every day since Dec. Getting back in good shape.. Or so I thought, till a friend mentioned a class at the Gym. OK sure! That was Tues. one hour of pure torture. I figured I would not be able to walk Wed. Well Other than my Quads being a bit more sore, I was OK.
That stuff works. PS the class is taught by a 60 year old tiny woman who looks 40. and solid as a rock! :o I liked how many of the poses stretched out my back. I was amazed that I could do most of it, I used to be extremly flexible in my younger days. I stretch every day but That is something far different. And who mentioned the plank?? Holy hell now that is torture! :argh: :censored:
