We're on a bridge, Chaaaaaaaaarlie! Posts: 244 Group: Members Member #1,230 Joined: July 5, 2007	I'm still -- I cantered my old guy for the first time post-injury today. He felt GREAT! I'm amazed he's come back so well, he ruptured a PT tendon last January and when he came to live with me in August, I had no idea if he'd be rideable at all. He's about 25 and a saint of an ex-schoolie and I figured he could just retire here if need be. I had the chiro adjust him and vet look at him and they told me that he should be fine for light riding and to start him back very slowly... so we did a lot of walk then gradually added some trot. He's been feeling really good at the trot so I asked my trainer today what she thought about me trying the canter (she was over here riding my pony) and she thought I should go for it and see what happened. I asked, he picked it up right away from the walk and we cantered down the long side of the ring. He has the NICEST rocking horse canter and I'm so thrilled to be able to ride it again, and that he's feeling so good. Anyway, just had to share... I'm sure any of y'all who've gone thru the rehab process post injury can appreciate what a milestone this was!
