Thomas H. Cruise! Posts: 530 Group: Members Member #75 Joined: January 6, 2007	Well, I showed my aunt's wonderful Peruvian mare this past weekend. I have only ridden a Peruvian Paso once before but this mare really knew her stuff. I was able to show in the novice division since I had never shown this breed before. Of course the first class was EQUITATION!!! You are supposed to relax, sit in a chair-like seat, and NOT drop your weight in your heels (um, I am a h/j rider.) So, we line up and one of the lovely Peruvian judges comes up to me and says "You ride very well, but I am sorry, you ride very English style." Ya, think? Anyway, he is a lovely enduring gentleman and in the next class, he comes up to me and say, "Good, better but you still need to relax. Sink into the saddle. How do I explain? Well, you are young...it's like makin' the love." I thought I would pee in the saddle! It was so funny but not perverted at all. Anyway, we had a very successful first time out. 7 blues (each class was judged as 2 separate classes), 1 2nd, 2, 3rds. We were high point Novice of the show. Here are so photos my aunt snapped.

I won two silver plated engraved photo albums and two cool sashes as you can see here: I was catch riding for my aunt so I did not have to pay the bill but did notice the classes to be about the same prices and the facility we showed at is where I am showing my hunter this week so I am sure the stall fees are the same. Whether or not they have all the added fees, I have no idea. The hat is silly, huh?
