My moms body clippers died (in the middle of clipping my horse, go figure), so obviously they need to be replaced. She body clips around 8 horses a year. Anyone have any suggestions on best ones to get?

I use the body clippers made by premiere1( I clip about 4-5 horses a year). They never get hot and are very light. They also resharpen blades at a reasonable cost.

I have two sets of Laubes and I have been really happy with them. The only issue I had with them they fixed at their expense. They want to run a hair hotter than I'd like but all in all they do a good job. The guys at the barn use them too and they clip TONS of horses.

I use Andis AGC Super-2 speeds to clip 6-10 times per winter and have been very happy with them.

I have the Lister Stars. Love the clipper, hate that they came with a fine blade that is completely unusable for any type of clipping, except making one bald. Make sure that you get the medium blade if you buy them. The blades are only marked on the inside, so you have to take them off to see if they are the correct ones.

I have sunbeam clipper masters and oster turbo's and they both have worked fine for me. I generally clip 4 to 6 times a year. I wish the blades would last longer though.

I have the Lister Stars and love them. I clip a lot of horses for other people at the track in addition to my own, and have never had any complaints about the blades that I use (the ones they came with - "fine"). I did a lot of research on TOB before purchasing clippers, getting other people's opinions and I was prepared to buy the medium blades when I purchased the clippers. However a lot of folks I talked to on TOB use the fine blades also and are quite happy with them. I am thrilled to death with my Lister Stars, and cant recommend them highly enough. They are nice clippers that are not very heavy, are quieter than most others and don't get hot as quickly as others I have used. All the best!

I sent you a facebook message. I do want to grab them from you if possible. I can meet you either somewhere in town, at my office, in Keswick, on Pantops, where ever is easiest for you.
