 Got an update. Big pup is still at the original vet and still on IVs but seems to be doing better. Little pup was sent back without any symptoms and declared parvo free...until today. Symptoms appeared, she tested positive, so now she's at another vet clinic. They think they'll both make it, though.

 Poor puppies! Parvo is such a pain and they can turn so quickly. But IV fluids and attentive care make all the difference!

Of course, with shelter pups, you just can't help them having been exposed to everything coming down the pike. But I am always amazed at the people who pick up their new puppy and let it go trotting through PetSmart or Petco. I tell all my clients not to take their puppies anywhere until they are done with their vaccination series.
