No update....shipping was changed to tomorrow....trainer is at a horse show; current lease holder is actually in PA so horse has little longer trip than expected :lonely: Sigh. Oh well. My poor trainer has totally lost her voice and taught all morning so I could hardly even hear her. I hope it's not the flu!

So....hopefully tomorrow I will have pictures....trainer is expecting him around 1pm or so.
WE all wait for your report! I agree about the ruining. Never fear!

Can't believe this...but apparently some trailer problems and he's not almost here, as I was hoping. No wonder my trainer hadn't gotten an ETA call yet....I don't know if they had already loaded him or not. The barn just called me so I didn't go back out....I already stopped by there checking to see if the stall was ready, etc. But I am sure I'll get the full story soon. :(

Wow that really stinks. Do these people not understand that two little girls, and one big one, are just dying to meet this horse?

Just heard from the trainer....the trailer is fixed and he will be coming tomorrow by 3pm. Luckily the driver hadn't loaded him but there was a strange noise related to tires or brakes or some such thing so she opted for the safe decision to have it looked at and I guess there was some minor defect and it has been fixed. Which, of course, was the right thing to do.

I also found out that the reason he couldn't come yesterday was because he was in some sort of costume parade or something. So he must be a nice guy to allow being dressed up. :) The kids will be happy to hear that!!

Unfortunately for me there is a trainer who is out of state, an owner who doesn't have the horse, and a lease holder in PA involved, and of course the shipper who works for the trainer. So by the time my trainer gets the information and then relays it to me, it seems like I've had to wait a long time. The only good news in the delay is that my trainer is really sick and I'm hoping that by tomorrow or Tuesday she's feeling better and has the energy to really look at him with me. At this point she just wants to make sure the horse isn't stranded on the road somewhere and go to bed.

I'm already sort of a basket case about the boarding situation. I am starting to understand all the posts I read about boarding barns. I like this barn and know it well but...it's not MINE! I had to ask about shavings already...how many bags in an empty stall...can I just I put them in or should I wait for the barn help to do that? It's so weird and I feel like a complete novice even though I'm not! :mallet:

:sigh:
