 Dad was discharged from the hospital today. Mom is a little po'ed that he is home as he still has a high fever, is very weak and wants to sleep all of the time. We are not going to go see them this weekend unless he takes a turn for the worse and goes back into the hospital. We have all had colds and flu and pneumonia here, so I dont want to take more germs down to dad.

The TOC jingles are powerful, powerful medicine.

 I bet your Dad is glad that he's back home, but I totally understand where your Mom's coming from. Continued jingles that his fever keeps coming down. :jingles: :jingles: :jingles:

My mom just called and to make a long story short, my dad is in the hospital, in very bad shape. What started as a bladder infection has turned into a more serious condition in that the infection has spread throughout his blood stream and they cannot seem to get his temperature under control. My mom is being strong and tough, but I know she is worried. I could hear it in her voice. I told her that I can work anywhere and could be there in a couple of hours. She doesn't want me to come yet, but if he is not improved tomorrow, I am heading there.

I know nothing about these types of infections, but mr. diva has informed me that yes, this is very serious and he will most likely be put into ICU. Of course, our hospitals right now are being innudated with people with the flu and I am concerned that he is in emerg right now and he could get something else.

Please, please spare some jingles for my dad. He is the first, best man that I have ever loved. He is my hero and my rock and if I lost him, I don't know what I would do.

And I am really really scared.

 I spoke to dad last night and he has been home since Friday morning, I think it was. He sounds a lot better, but he confessed he is still very weak and very tired. He is finally able to sleep through the night and mom sounds better too, although she is concerned about his general weakness and exhaustion. He has a doctors appointment next week and has to go for blood tests at the hospital towards the end of this week to make sure the antibiotics are doing their job.

Thank you all for your thoughts and jingles and prayers. It was tough knowing he was so sick and there was not a damn thing I could do about it. It has reminded me just how old my parents are getting. I am so not ready for them to age.

**edit to change the date** he went home on Thursday, but back in Thursday night to have a catheter put in. With everything going on, I am all confused on my dates.
