:luck: :luck: :one: Good luck Tarragon!!! And oh, by the way I do live near you so if you need a "test" garden I am an eager volunteer!! :cheer:

We bought our house with great landscaping, and I'm clueless as to how to keep it up. The irony is that I started my career (many years ago) as editor of a gardening magazine. I retained very little from those years, but a lot of my authors for the magazine were Master Gardeners and huge proponents of the program. When you get it, I think you should post tips for us wannabes to learn along with you.
Hi Debbie! It's good to see you're still around on the board- you should come play on TOC more often

I'd be happy to come out in the spring and take a look at your landscaping, it would be fun! How is farm life BTW? And your lovely mares?

Thanks Tarragon! Life is a million miles an hour, but I always enjoy the few minutes I can steal to be on TOC. Farm life is wonderful! I actually have all different horses from when we moved. My gray mare had neuro issues and went to be a broodie (with approval from vets of course) and my bay shire/tb filly found her niche as an eventer under Mike Winter. We had a great time watching her develop and then sold her to a lovely young girl from Memphis who is loving her.

The "herd" is now Mercy, a draft cross that I'm trying to get out foxhunting; Tinker, a much beloved hony that is the perfect kid guest pony ride; Lulu, a 2 year old warmblood cross hell on wheels roller derby wannabe who may yet grow into herself; and Chet, a lovely Oldenburg that is leaving soon to be pointed at the hunters.

How old is the lovely Olivia now? She must be close to being under saddle, yes?

Wow, Debbie- that is a whole new herd! Sounds like a fun bunch, but I think we need pictures before we can be sure ;)

Livvie turned 3 this summer and has been under saddle about 2 months now. She's such a good girl, fun and so easy! I'm totally in love with her. Here's a picture of her big girl self-

The herd looks great! I love the picture of Mercy next to the tiny wee pony. Were you hunting with Bear Creek? Your two year old looks really nice- what's her breeding?

I friended you on FB, btw :)

Yes, that was Bear Creek. My farm is about 4 miles away, so I love it being so convenient... and amazingly fun!!

The two year old is a mystery filly. I came about her in an odd way and I only know that the mare was a Han/TB eventer who packed her ammie owner up to prelim. The stallion is a warmblood Grand Prix jumper, but what exactly the bloodlines are is something I haven't been able to ferret out yet. She's a lovely mover and a tough cookie. I think she'll make an upper level eventer in the right hands -- perfect attitude for it fearless and cocky, just have to see if she wants to work.

Thanks for the friending! I love FB; it makes keeping up with friends easy and fun.
