Shunnnnn the unbeliever. Shunnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn. Posts: 461 Group: Members Member #514 Joined: January 21, 2007	This weekend was the KY cup test even for the WEG 2010 at the Kentucky Horse Park. I've never been to a driving event so we went for the afternoon. I have to say I am SUPER impressed! It was really cool and one of the neatest events I have ever seen. We watched pony and horse teams, then single horses and pairs. I can't even imagine riding my horse through some of those hazards, let alone driving a team of horses through. All I kept thinking was how tired I would be if I was either the drive or worse, the counterweight! All I can say is I hope hope hope that I have a day or two off during the games to go see this event. It is one of the coolest things I have ever seen! If you are planning to come to the games, definately come watch this event!

They even found me motel rooms for the WEG! The man that won the Advanced Single Horse division owns the farm in CA that hosts some wonderful events. There has been good coverage of the event and a couple of photo albums on Hoefnet.com.

We lucked out and sat next to some one at one of the hazards who had competed so we got a lot of questions answered! Before that we sort of followed what we did at the vaulting test event and made up our own rules But it was really cool and I am TOTALLY impressed! We saw a crash at one obstacle and I couldnt believe how calm the horse remained. They pinned her head and she stayed down while the crew unhooked her cart. She stood right up and walked away calmly.
