Aaron is my baby. He has been treated with nothing but love, kindness and attention since I bought him 2 years ago. We brought his training along veeeryyyyy slowly to make sure he would have plenty of time to mature and grow and stay happy with his job as a future hunter susperstar. Dead quiet, calm, easy and learns very quickly. He never backs off from ANY jump and goes wherever you point him at. He's uneducated as in still has a lot to learn but he does it very willingly and with patience. He truly had the potential be be a top "A" show horse with talent, scope, and movement to make up into a fantastic 3'6 or 4'0 horse. He is 16.1-2 hands tall and he is by the German Hanoverian stallion Alabaster. Build like a warmblood should be. Great feet, solid bones, and pretty to boot. 2 months ago he started going funny behind. My vet unltrasounded him and we took x-rays where it was discovered he has a torn maniscus in his stifle. Prognoses at this point is with time and rest for about 5-6 months he should be able to come back and once he gains stregnth to be a perfect 2'6" horse. He is quiet enough to cart kids around at shows and behaves off the farm like a perfect gentleman. If properly taken care of with time to heal he will be fantastic. I'm serious. A kid can finish him. He has excellet ground manners, loads, bathes, clips, pull his mane and he just stands there. Take to a show and watch him fall asleep outside the ring. He is clean legged and currently doesn't wear shoes. He has great feet and he's an easy keeper. He was recently appraised at $50K. I have a 2'6" horse and don't need another. I would be willing to go super cheap to someone who provides excellent references and a promise to give me first right refusal to buy him back if you ever want to sell him. He is truly has a puppy-dog personality an will literally hug the ones he loves. He goes out great with other horses. Give him some time and you'll have the fanciest 2'6" horse out there to win with at the horse shows. We are located in Waynesboro, Va. Other x-rays were taken for his hocks and front feet and they all looked fine. He is young, chestnut with some chrome and has a personality to die for. He is super sweet with my 5 year old son. Great with dogs running around everywhere too. This is a huge financial loss for me as he was supposed to be my investment horse but since I already have a 2'6" horse I just don't need another. Aaron deserves to go somewhere where he will be given treats, attention, and love from a bunch of little girls who would normally not get a chance to ride such a talented and well breed horse. He was imported from Germany 2 years ago and I've been his owner ever since. Just give him a few months to heal and he can be used for lessons and light showing at the lower height jumps. For a $50K horse, I'll take the first $10K that wants him (if references check out) Send me an email. cwells@hiddenrockfarm.com if you have any questions or would like to come see him in person. I promise you'll fall in love. Oh, and don't forget to check out his booootimous self here in the picture..

Awww geez Applesauce, I hope you find an amazing home for this gorgeous boy! I'm going to start contacting my friends to see if I can help find someone who's willing to wait a short while for him to heal. He is so fabulous and worth the small investment in time! |

Thanks, guys. If he is bought now it would be a perfect time to get him. I'm open to reasonable offers of $10K or a little less. |

Just wanted to throw this out there for people interested in Courtney's horse... There are lots of things that can be done to help speed up the repair time of this injury. My husband's horse tore her meniscus as well this summer. She was told to be on 3 months of stall rest with very limited turnout (we have a 20' x 60' bluestone paddock right off the barn she is allowed out in), had 2 estres shots (given one week apart), has had 2 shockwave treatments (out of 3) at 3-week intervals, was blistered after the 2nd treatment, and will be injected after the third treatment. Another option is PRP (platelet-rich plasma), a very advanced regenerative therapy, instead of a regular injection. By doing those things rather than just rest, there is an EXCELLENT prognosis for a horse to go back to their prior capability. So you could get the deal of the decade on Aaron! |

Bumping this back up in hopes someone will see what an incredibly bright future this boy has when all he needs is a little more time and rehab. Sidesaddlerider was right. He is truly a fantastc deal. Email me if interested. I don't get to check this board very often. And remember...I'm negotiable on his price. :-) |

He is drool-worthy, and sounds like he's got a lovely temperament. If I didn't have so much going on right now, I'd be all over that one. Someone on TOC needs to snatch him up so I can live vicariously!

Another bump. Also, just wanted to add that I've been watching him move around in his field and he looks great. The rest is helping. To watch him go you'd never know anything is wrong! I really would love to see him get a great home. Price is $7500 now. What a deal on a $50K horse!!!! Please email me at cwells@ntelos.net. I'm not able to check the boards as often as I would like.
