RIP B.J. a/k/a "Tater"

We're on a bridge, Chaaaaaaaaarlie!

 We had to put B.J., our beagle, down unexpectedly yesterday. We also called him Tater, he was such a couch potato.

He wasn't feeling well at all and I dropped him off at the vet's yesterday morning. Turns out he had a large tumor in his abdomen. Rather than spending thousands on surgery and putting him through more pain, we made the difficult decision to put him to sleep. I was there with him at the end and it was one of the hardest things that I've ever had to do. He was 12 and we thought for sure one of our two older females would be the one we'd be putting down soon, not him. Our human and canine family is very sad. He is the first animal we've buried at the farm.

Luckily I kept a pup from his daughter's litter so we have his granddaughter, Lulu. She is a year and a half old and a total love. I was holding her last night telling her I was so glad I kept her, at least I have a little piece of him left.

Godspeed, B.J., my sweet Tater dog. I hope there are lots of rabbits for you to chase up in doggie heaven. :,(

 Awww hugs to all of the fam Barn Girl, two and four legged!! So glad you have Lulu to comfort you in this time though. RIP Tater!!!

 Thanks guys... I knew y'all would understand. It has been a rough couple of days. My house/pet sitter heard about it and sent me a text while I was on my lunch hour today saying she was so sorry, he was such a good dog and I totally lost it again. I was glad I wasn't at the office. He was one of those dogs that everyone loved.
