Just wanted to know if anyone has delt with hoof canker...my draftx has it and is set for cryo surgery on Monday. I would like to hear any success/horror stories...be truthfull ....I can handle it as I wanted to go ahead and put her down anyway due to all her other problems, but I have a friend that wants to take her on and take care of her. Which is nice but I am still worried about her pain.

Well she had her surgery..as far as I know it went well. There was so much blood I couldnt believe it..

I took her bandage off last night and it looked pretty good, going out there today to clean it and hopefully the vet will have the meds to put on it.

She seems to be fairly sound on it so that is a good thing and she even got to go on turn out for a while yesterday. :)

Awesome. That is wonderful it looked good when you changed the bandage - it usually doesn't look too good for quite a few days.

Many jingles for her quick recovery!

here, these are for you - you'll need them the next few weeks for the bandaging routine!
