I'm currently looking for work as an assistant barn manager/rider/general upkeep. I'd need housing in the area, or a salary that would afford me to rent near by and I have a medium sized dog I have to bring with me. A general overview about myself. I'm 23 years old and started taking lessons when I was 4, got my first pony at 8. I've been riding since then, started in dressage/eventing but have mostly been doing hunter/jumpers. Lots of experience with green and OTTB's, restarting and retraining them. I love thoroughbreds and find working with OTTBs very rewarding. I have some experience with youngstock, and have started a few babies. I've also worked with babies in teaching them to lead, stand for farrier and shots, walks around the farm to get them used to new experiences. We've had horses on our own property as well as boarded, so I have experience in both types of environments. I was an assistant manager/general caretaker/trainer a breeding/training farm home to 20 horses and ponies. I'm a very quiet rider with a balenced seat and soft hands. Workman like equitation but very effective in helping the horse to preform to the best of it's ability. I'm hardworking, honest and very dedicated. I love to learn and absorb new information like a sponge. I'm very quiet and easy to work with. If you're interested at all I can send a full resume. Thanks for your time. Lindsey Siegrist Update: Although I'd like to be working with the horses u/s and on the ground, I'm NOT afraid to get my hands dirty by doing stalls, cleaning up around the farm, or whatever is needed.
