The horse eating foam nearly got us, twice (so I nearly went swimming, twice) and the footprints, hoofprints, driftwood, seaweed and tyre marks were verrrrrrrrry spooky but baby horses both had a ball (as did their riders) and I would love to share some photos :)

Beautiful Lu!

Pictures of the beaches in New Zealand always have that "end of the earth" look to me. Nothing out beyond that water...but more water...and Antarctica ;)

Thans guys - It really was so much fun - Made better by having two very genuine and cooperative youngsters who were also having fun. I just wish the beach was closer so we could do it more often (it was a 150km return journey). Meg was so funny lifting her feet right up walking over the sand to start because she could not understand it and then spooking at all the different things on the beach. Bless her cottons, luff ma clompety :)
