Yep, yep. I've been icing, linimenting, cold hosing, etc (not necessarily in that order). No wrapping because he's literally out 23/7...only in for the time I'm doctoring.

I'm hoping it's really not as bad as I think. The ground is quite hard...and he has been keeping himself moving. Could really just be some filling from the change in 'footing' and activity level. :luck:

:jingles: :jingles: :jingles: for you and Show

I wish you didn't have to worry about the newness of the turnout and re-injury. I really think getting any horse used to turnout is the best thing-especially this type of horse. Luna sounds similar to Show, and the absolute best thing for making her a happy rideable horse is turnout with friends. It makes it so much harder though when you have to worry about re-injury

Here's hoping he is just fine and on the way to recovery-and that he starts loving his new digs! :cloud9:

Trotted him out last night. He didn't seem sound from my perspective running along side him. The rhythm was off. :sigh: It's too late to turn back, though. I'm still holding out hope it's just a change from his cushy paddock (corral) footing/arena footing routine to hard ground 24/7.

There was a time I was trotting him on our dirt road because it's good for tendons...but his feet couldn't take it and he'd get sore. Maybe that's what we're experiencing. :crossfingers: I'm going to be heartbroken if I did all the re-hab trotting for nothing. He was feeling so sound and good. I'll get on him this weekend I think: I can always tell for sure if he's not right from his back.
