Posts: 4,400 Group: Members Member #138 Joined: January 7, 2007	I can't retype it all again, so I'll just post when I sent via email: We found Hucklebug this morning in distress from hours of colicing and my wonderful vet Sean Bowman came out and laid him to rest (there wasn't really a decision to be made). For those who have loved Hucklebug or known me any length of time to know how much I love Hucklebug, you will understand this to be one of the saddest days of my life. He and I crossed paths when we were both ten and have been best friends ever since. He was my partner in crime for rides to the General Store to buy candy, attempts to outrun the train, swims in the Bull Run among many other wonderful memories I feel so privileged to have. Most importantly, my first pony taught me how to love. As Goethe said "we are shaped by what we love" and I was blessed to have had 24 years with Hucklebug to love and be loved by him. Please hug your animal best friends today or remember those you've lost. Thank you all for being a part of my life or being a part of the Bug's. I lost my wonderful, wonderful mare Fleur at age 34 also, after we spent 25 years together- we were both 9 when I got her for my birthday. I know I felt like a part of me was missing when I lost her, but I was also so grateful to have had such a true partnership, and to have shared most of my life with such a friend.
