Just in case some of you remember the thread about the Deworming Seminar in Charlottesville... It was a tremendous success with great attendance and even better information for horse owners.

Charlottesville Southern States Cooperative and Blue Ridge Equine Clinic are proud to present the second FREE seminar, Practical Pasture Management and Forage in the Horses' Diet on June 25th, 2009.

This will focus on Pasture Management from an Equine Veterinarian's and a Horseman's viewpoint. Speakers will include Dr. Reynolds Cowles(BREC veterinarian) , Dr. Marty Adams (Equine Nutritionist), Dr. Jackie Lawler (BREC veterinarian specializing in Metabolic Issues), and EN Garnett (Southern States Agronomist and Field Specialist).

There will be information booths set up before the dinner and lectures to allow participants to ask feed, animal health, vet-related and pasture questions.

Thursday, June 25th, 2009 at the Elk's Lodge in Charlottesville VA
Doors open at 5:30 PM
FREE DINNER at 6:30 PM
Presentation 7:00-9:00 PM

There will be lots of door prizes, including the Grand Prize of Free Feed for One Horse for a year (equivalent= One ton of Legends Show and Pleasure, though the type of feed can be substituted and/or changed with some other type of Southern States feed).

Please RSVP by June 17th to Laura

** The first meeting was a great success and over 230 people attended. Please tell your friends, family, riding buddies, etc. We really want these meetings to benefit the local horse owners. There is no cost to participants and we try to keep the information fresh and entertaining.
