Ha ha thanks everyone for letting me vent. I had to let it out, somewhere, or I think I might have thrown something.

It is much harder dealing with parents now that we have a child. Everyone is so opinionated, and critical. And of course we must compare Little FG to all the other grandkids. :shoot: Little FG is a great kid, and yes I will admit Mr. FG and I let her be the free spirit that she is. She's not unruly, but she is high energy and strong willed, and you have to know when to let her be and when to gently nudge her back in line. Forcing her to do anything doesn't work. She takes a lot of finesse. ;) And I love her for it.

Anyway, enough out of me. Thanks for the sympathies, and commiseration!!! :)

We lived with my parents for 10 months with 4 kids and the cat. We were remodeling our house when we needed a place to stay. I am not sure who was happier when we moved. Grandpa, grandma, us, the kids or the cat. It was our own private hell. Grateful that it was an option but heaven help us if we have to do it again.

I would never be able to live with my FIL he is enough to make me crazy. He has a Dr. son, a dietitian DIL, a stock broker son, and he won't listen to any of them when is comes to anything like medicine, diet, or managing money. It is absolutely a joke dealing with him on that type of level.

Example: Mrs. Lost and the kids are on spring break so she goes 3 hours to see her father. He says while you are here can you make some bread and stew. He then stood over her shoulder and said you can't put oil in the bread it is bad for me. Mrs. Lost explained that oil was required. He then said well then use olive oil instead :shoot: She made him some good bread then onto the stew. Not that, more this, oh you can't use onion and garlic. :shoot: :shoot: Then she gets ready to leave and he says can you make a pie for me. Granted the man is 83 and been alone since 93 when MIL passed. Anyway she starts to make the pie a raisin cream that he likes. Basically cream, sugar, raisins, an egg and a little thickening. Not exactly health food but very good. He then says don't put it in a crust the crust is bad for you. :psycho: :psycho:

Mrs. Lost threatened to strangle him. LF

Yikes, Lost Farmer, at age 83, what could possibly be bad for you?
