Yeah!!! Even though I know we are probably not done with snow and cold altogether, there is light at the end of the tunnel!! I was "spring cleaning" the back yard (i.e. picking up dog poop that I didn't get during the winter as it was buried deep in snow), and I found tulip leaves poking up!!!

Sorry, Sannois, I was none too pleased this morning either when I let the dog out and the yard was WHITE! But, unfortunately this is Michigan, I have sat through more tee-ball, soccer, and softball games in the cold spring than I care to remember. And those days are not done. But, later today it's supposed to be 50, then tomorrow 56 and sun!!!! Yeah!!!! That's why my knees hurt this time of year, the weather is always changing. Edited by stephjm, Mar 21 2009, 07:49 AM.

You're a bit ahead of me (but that doesn't take much). I want to till also, but that hasn't happened yet. I'm getting the spring itch, envisioning some veggies and herbs. After we till the garden area (which gets smaller each year), I like to watch the chickens and guineas having fun there, digging and gobbling whatever we've dug up. Haven't tackled the rosebush from hell yet. Poor thing. Eggs? Are you going to eat them or color them, or both? |
