Any suggestions? Mare just came home from full training board but has been off for 30+ days due to a popped splint. Ready to go back to work however she is big, strong, and has an attitude/respect problem and frankly I don't want to be the first one on her back after her time off. Looking for someone in/near/around the Fredericksburg area who would be willing to travel to my barn 2-3 times a week. |

Entourage, this may be a bit of a stretch but I met this guy (John Sanford) several years ago while searching for hay; his website doesn't seem to be working though. I remember his name (don't ask me how) and googled it. He has had ads in the VA Horse Journal. Maybe someone else here will know more about him. ********** Rocking T Ranch 549 Deer Haven Ln Orange, VA 22960 [View Map] (540) 672-2986 rocking-t-ranch@earthlink.net The folks at Rocking T Ranch are here for the horse to help him get a better deal. They educate the human on how to create a willing partnership with the horse through training and clinics. It's how horsemanship should be. Have saddle will travel! I have met John and I do know he has relocated to Charlottesville and is still training. I like his training methods however I don't think they'd work well for this particular mare. I think I have found someone who will work out that's local for me and if not I'll scout around a bit more! |

Entourage: I have had Charles Pelham come to my farm on 3 occasions to do ground work and trailer loading for my yearlings and he's done a great job. He is in Rixeyville so it may be a bit far, but he does do farm calls or you can send horses to him for training. He has a website: www.cornerstonehorsemanship.com |
