I love my filly....   I sat on her today for the very first time!!! And she took it like a pro, only turning her head to look at my leg as if to say "What are you doing there Mom???"  She has come such a long way since last May when I brought her home as a skinny, hairy and unhandled baby. Maybe we will be able to get organized enough to do the 3yr old line classes this year!!!   |

I will most definitely remember to bring the camera next time that I am out and getting on! It wasn't going to be a for sure thing, as it really depended on whether or not she decided that wearing the saddle on the longe line was going to be uber exciting that day or not. She is WAY too athletic to get to decide that broncing me off is fun... I regularly envision myself as a lawn dart when I watch her romping around when at play!!! My coach has been super great. She has been helping me the entire way through the process, reminding me that she still gets to be a horse, and teaching me what behavior is just "baby behavior". It has been nice to have someone to give me that kind of confidence and reassurance, because lord knows I haven't done this before and I question my abilities fairly frequently these days!  The goal isn't to move too quickly. We just really wanted to plant the seed so we can think about just walking around in the arena for a few minutes a couple of times a week. She needs her wolf teeth pulled and to top out yet another growth spurt before we start doing much more than that. Thankfully, she is a very willing participant in the process!

So there was finally someone else out at the farm and able to use my wee camera to record a bit of video! Here is ride number 4 on Sasha. This is our first time ever being let loose on our own to tour the arena. She was absolutely brilliant, and remainded as relaxed as she is in the video through the entire ride! She's such a pretty girl! She looks very relaxed and easy with the whole 'being ridden' thing You must be thrilled! I'm very excited about getting on my almost-three year old- I hope mine is as good about it as your girl
