So for the past few days it seems like I can't stop breaking out in hives and can't figure out why. I haven't changed my laundry detergent, soap, anything. I break out in random places too. My hands have broken out several times, my neck several times, and now my feet. The itching is unbelievable too! I keep taking Benadryl and slathering myself in creams with minimal relief. It doesn't always happen at the same time either. I've woken up in the morning with it, had it occur right after a meal, and have had other random times. It's just frustrating so I'm venting. K, now I'm done. :argh: :argh: :censored:

That is weird! Has ir never happened before? There MUSt be something you are reacting to. Play detective. Anything new? Clothes? Change soaps? fabric softner? You poor thing. Sounds like you need a trip to the dematologist. You know it can be something you have eaten. Anything different? Think hard. animal products? some cleaning chemical? If you have never had it before and it just popped up its got to be something different that you dont realize.

Try claritin. I had a problem with hives for awhile and claritin worked for me.

It just occurred to me... my mother was getting the same thing for a while. It turned out to be a dormant allergy to "red" fruit (it's a specific chemical... can't remember what it is) that was triggered by high stress. As long as she avoids strawberries, grapes, tomatoes, red wine etc she's fine...

I was going to mention the stress thing too. When my best friend was going through an awful phase of stress (involving her husband's health and other stuff) she was constantly broken out in hives in different places on her body.

Hope you feel better SOON.

STRESS. Hives are very often an indication of high stress. I had a friend who stopped breaking out once she started an anti-anxiety drug and changed some personal stress-inducing stuff (kicked out the dirtbag unemployed BF).

Maybe it's some sort of unknown stress that I don't know about because right now my life is probably about as stress free as it has ever been. The only allergy that I have that I know causes hives is latex but I'm always super careful not to touch it.
