Magical Leopluridon Posts: 764 Group: Members Member #68 Joined: January 5, 2007	Remember the little kitty right before xmas who had lost hte use of his hind end? When we got ot the vets the next day or so ( when ever the apt was available cant remmber) he wasa walking stiffly but walking so he was sent home to live with us. We were hoping that what ever had inflicted itself upon him would eventually pass. He had more good then bad days. But was acting like a young cat would. Some days you could almost tell he was in some pain but not so much to where it effected his hind end or his walking. He was just a small little thing pretty in his markings and coloring. He looked like his mom a lot ( the original road kill who hopped out of our car when we moved here never to be seen again). Last night he began yawling sounding like cat ' im king cat round here' type stuff and as suny and peter were joining in we figured that is what was going on. This morning when ds went up to dish out the 'coffee peese' to the kitties he noticed that roadkill was not right. When pushed to what not right ment that roadkill kitty was not using either his hind or his front end at all but just kinda roling around and pulling himself around. So I kept an eye on him and about every hr he would let out a huge yawl. But he still had some spunk to him. but he would appear very tired like just that effort was to much to handle. So I waited. I had to go ot the bathroom and while I was just finishing he let out a horrid yawl. Just as I got to the landing on the 2nd floor he fell off and landed on his head. I figure he did more damage then but he still tried ot get up and be a 'normal cat'. It just was not to be. He laid there breathing lighter and lighter as the moment passed. The dogs were gathered around us and angle ( the new dog that came with the house) went to sniff him and with his last breath he hissed at the dog. Roadkill kitty was bout 9 mths old to young to die. I know that #1 ds will be devisated by this as will dh ( the original roadkill was his cat she chose him). RIP roadkill kitty to short of life in to much pain for someone so young...

Starving Artist Posts: 2,953 Group: Members Member #550 Joined: January 22, 2007	Sorry about the kitty. My mom just recently had to put a very sweet kitty to sleep... her kidneys shut down. Poor kitties, they don't do so well when they get sick... it's either they are running around playing or on deaths door. Why is that? Rip Roadkill Kitty.
