Can you see that my 4-board fence is only a 2-board in the corner? I think that's a 3+ foot drift. :)

But......this is what I can do with my horse at home -- watch birds from my dining room table with horses in the background:

We're getting about 12 inches of the lovely white stuff now. This is our 3rd big storm of the "snow season" which started only a month ago; our first snow came just before Christmas. :sigh:

Yep, NY just south of Albany. It is a pretty area but I'd like to see less snow all of a sudden. We've had a change from snow to rain and the shoveling is extremely heavy. :brickwall:

Yup I just had another eight inches drop then ice, then sleet, now rain - it is impossible to clear. It is so heavy and within 15 minutes I'm soaked through - plus my shovel is not the best, so I end up shoveling the same snow about four times.
It sure is pretty, but I'm about ready for spring now...we've had so much snow already - like every 3 to 4 days another storm comes through. and not 2 inch storms, NOOOOOOooooo 8 to 12 or more each storm.

TBF I AM JEALOUS!!!!!! ;)

Not of the snow. We have LOADS of that here on my side of the state too. But of the fact that you can see your lovely ponies right out your window!!

Is that a cardinal on your feeder? So cute!

We must be at the temperature where snow sticks to plastic because my I can't use my plastic shovel! It gets heavier and heavier....then I have to clunk it on the ground. Sigh. Off to bed. Tomorrow's another day.

OI....now don't be so negative. You would be just fine with 3' of snow. It's *just* the drifts...anyway! There are some spots where it's just 1' deep! :)

Actually, we get a prevailing wind so we have bare spots in the pasture and the horses nibble down into the frozen dirt. Even when they have hay. Just their instincts to graze, I guess!

Flash, yes, we have lots of cardinals and many other feeder birds. My kids are participating in the Cornell Feederwatch program so we are keeping a close eye on all our feeders!
