A friend and I are doing a bit of a side making high-end blingy browbands. We have the process, and a harness maker on board, samples made, and even a couple of word of mouth sales. What we don't have is a business name.

Friend is artsy, not horsey. She doesn't care what we call it. I was thinking something that includes the idea of a of "bay mare" since I realized that almost all of the horses that made a huge impact, from the time I was a kid, were bay mares (who woulda thought). And they were all either half or full TB.

Any suggesions??

OK, but seriously

Bling in the Ring

Splashy Sourcil

(Just an FYI - bling is on the way out, so don't invest too much $$$. JMHO)

what about...

Blooded Bays

Frilly Filly

Mare Flairs

Fancifuls

Finer Things

I like simple names though...
what about a combo of your names? either first or last names?
Helen and Mary - Helmar or Marlen creations - something along those lines.

Hmmm. I actually LIKE "Not So Plain Bay"...

And I hear ya about Bling going "out". We're actually trying to hit that market a bit - more metals and stone, and a few that are a twist on the classic Clincher browband. I'm expecting some any day - will get photos when they arrive!

We also decided to go semi-custom, which keeps the initial overhead down. We'll make the strands, and then shorten or lengthen them to whatever the customer orders. The leather part is made to order in whatever combo of leather colour(s) is requested.
