OK, so Leo is on Doxycycline (along with a whole host of other meds and supplements, goodness gracious!) and I know the doxy can't be given with calium or aluminum containing antacids, but what about famotidine? I am trying to confine his meds to just twice a day if possible but all their different instructions are driving me nuts! I can't fine anything to say I can't give doxy and famotidine at the same time. I just feel bad for his little tummy and want to make sure its well protected. I will talk with the pharmacist Monday or Tuesday, but I know there are some konwledgable peepes around here!

Thanks y'all!

Plumb's Veterinary Drug Handbook (which is the standard formulary) indicates that you should be fine, but I would double-check with your vet to be sure.

As one of the resident pharmacists on the board, I concur. It should not be a problem to give them together.

Thanks y'all! I couldn't find a reason for it to be a problem, but I didn't want to screw up! I don't know much about famotidine as its not a drug I use much - I typically use either cimetidine or omeprezole.
