It started with my panic attack and ended very sweetly...

We live across the driveway from my 83 year old Mother. I called her late this afternoon to invite her to dinner. She didn't answer, not a big deal. But when I called a couple of more times and there was no answer, I was concerned since I knew she was home. I was a bit worried so I went up to her house and couldn't find her. Her house is three levels, the main floor, upstairs and a basement that is an apartment. At that point I told Archie Moore "find Tutu" (Tutu means Grandmother in Hawaiian). For some crazy reason he immediately started this wild grid search with his nose to the floor. Like he was retracing her steps. He got to the stairs to the basement, looked up at me and just shot down there. I heard a big woof and ran down the stairs. She had dozed off watching TV down there and didn't hear the phone. He climbed in her lap and gave her big boxer kisses! She was not really amused.

What amazed me was that he knew what was going on and he acted on it. He loves his Tutu!

My Mother... sorry for all the photos but the inevitable flashed before me.

Ohhh CDE First off let me say how lucky you are to still have your mom. And so close to you, and shes a horse person.
She still looks fabulous! I assume the christmas one is recent?? Awesome driving pics.
And as for Archie Moore. What a great pooch. I have always secretly had a yearning to own one. Boxers are really cool dogs!
Thanks for sharing that! :cloud9: ;) <3

Archie Moore is truly a hero! I hope he gets to sleep on the bed or WHEREVER he wants, plus many, many treats! Three cheers for Archie Moore! :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

The photos of your mom are pure joy...what an elegant lady, and it's plain to see from your other photos that you are carrying on that elegance in grand style.

Thank you everyone! I am so lucky to have my Mother so close and still involved. She is the one that got me in to driving. I just had that heart stopping moment of not knowing if she was okay.

Archie Moore is a champ! And yes, he sleeps where ever he pleases.... on the bed on my pillow at the moment!

What an awesome dog!!!! I love boxers!! It is amazing how smart dogs really are, sometimes I think they know/understand more than we realize or give them credit for.

And I loved the pics of your mom!!! Glad all ended well. :)

He is a hero  What a good puppy! I hate those moments, so  to you. Tutu looks fabulous - I was amazed when you said she's 84 because the Christmas photos were from 2007 weren't they?

Oh, CDE! I know that pit-of-the-stomach feeling well. We moved my 83-year old mom down here 6 months ago, to an apartment about a mile from our house. She has developed an inner ear problem, and some days she can't hear the phone, even though it's the kind for the hearing impaired and has a ring that could wake the dead. I've had several of those "Oh God" moments before opening her door to find her reading on the couch. So glad Tutu is fine, and that Archie is such a good boy!
