All right you frozen Northeners- since Georgia has now become part of the Arctic Circle my winter riding gloves aren't cutting it anymore. Can you please give me recommendations on gloves that actually keep your fingers warm but still allow them to bend enough to hold the reins? Actually being able to feel through them would be a plus (since Tara's working in the double some now, and I'm still a bit fumbly with all those reins) but since my fingers go numb from the cold anyway, warmth is the priority.

Help me, please!

Latex gloves. Wear under your regular gloves. My mom taught me about that--it's an old skydiver's trick and it works great!

No way... really?? I am going to have to try that. I've tried everything... silk liners, double and triple gloves.... not much helps when it is 3 degrees!!

Going to find me some latex gloves....

I just got a new pair of the SSG Winter Rancher (style #1650), I love them. As Flash said, not much helps in 3 degree weather but my hands are much warmer and not too bulky that you can't hold the reins.

I wear them OVER my gloves. I had DH get me some XL nitrile gloves (I wear a size 7 in regular gloves) and I put them over winter gloves. I tried putting the latex gloves as the first layer, but couldn't get my winter gloves on over them.

Fringe benefit is that I can scoop the hay out of the water buckets without feeling a thing!

Well, I try to not drive if it's below freezing... but my fingertips still get so cold.

The gloves I have found that work are these:

and these:

Both of them actually keep my hands warm and I can drive in them.
