Sooo cute! Wish I had a videoo camera handy but I know if I get up to get it he will wake up. :cloud9: He's a brittany so his tail is docked and his little stub is just going crazy. I'm sure he's dreaming about babes. Not his mommy. Although it would be nice to think so.

Awwww!

I love doggie dreams. Riley barks and growls in his sleep, but he doesn't open his mouth so he makes these weird muffled noises. And his whole body shakes when he sleep-barks - he's actually woken me up in the middle of the night before because the bed has been moving!

I know, I love imagining dog dreams :) My parents have a litter of NINE GSD puppies who are just about two weeks old and it's so funny to see even puppies that young moving so much when they sleep. Little cuties...

Lar the Chesapeake kicks like a mule in his sleep, and somehow he always manages to get his big feet right up against me. He wakes me up almost every night with his monster feet thumping away.

Yes, my old dog sleeps with us and he's like one of those massaging chairs! Except not quite as relaxing. I'm not sure I've ever seen his tail wag like that before. :cloud9: But he wiggles and thumps and shimmys....just about every night. Wonder what they dream about?? Definitely running...you can see their legs move as if they are running.

Indy, my dogs do that muffled barking thing, too. Sometimes their cheeks puff out because their barking *so loudly* in their dreams.

Karen, when are you going to post some pics of the puppies, anyway?????

My brown dog is older too, and it seems the older he gets the more vividly he dreams. When he was younger his paws would twitch, his tail would wag at the very tip and he'd do the under-the-breath 'woof-woofs' when he'd dream and it was all fairly infrequent. Now it's 2 or 3 times every night, kicking so hard he nearly knocks me off the couch or out of bed!

Maybe our old dogs, in their dreams, do all the running and jumping their old bodies won't let them do while they're awake? I hope so, anyway.

oh they are so cute and TINY...they're eyes are just starting to crack open. My parents took a ton of pics with the kids holding them etc last weekend so I'll have to get them to send a couple to me. I love puppies best when they are oh, let's say 5-6 weeks old? Just old enough to be fun, but not out of control :) with 9 of them, it might to be interesting!

Josie barks in her dreams, wags her tail, whimpers, runs, etc, too. Sometimes she wakes up and is frantic that something is outside - rough is up and tail fluffed out. Then she seems confused when I let her out - like - where am I? what was that? I could have sworn we were in the woods.......
She's a cutie-patootie

I love when they dream! I like when the growl and woof too. My dogs are so not tough so it cracks me up when they are in their dreams.

When I was a braider I experienced seeing horses do the exact same thing. They would "run", snort, etc in their sleep too. It was so cute.

The other night though I think one of my dogs had a bad dream :( I was awaken by her in the middle of the night, she never wakes up in the night. I was asleep with my arm over the edge of the bed, and she was standing with her head in my hand and when I started stirring she wagged her tail. She wouldn't lay back down. I asked her if she needed to go out, and she didn't react. I invited her on the bed, she jumped curled up tight against me and fell asleep. I think she needed reassuring.

I love my puppers.

I rescued an Irish Wolfhound years ago and he figured out in short order that sleeping with me was A-Okay! He would regularly wake me up by wagging his tail in his sleep. That big huge tail whump, whump, whumping on the bed :teehee: It was pretty startling the first time!

My trainer's Idocus colt whinnies, snorts and his hooves twitch like he's running in his sleep. It's very, very cute. Tarragon, not so cute, she just snores so loudly the rafters rattle. In the summer they are on night turn-out, so they come in, eat their breakfast and then take long naps. Those 2 are stalled beside each other so all sorts of funny little noises come from their aisle.
