I'm 5'7" with a 33" inseam. The problem is that the waist is cut differently on the Long model, a little higher-rise, which means they hang down lower on me |

Hey Optical, if you're looking for long jeans American Eagle has longs and extra longs. According to their site the long inseam is 32.5-33" and the extra long is 36". I love their old bootcut style. They're low rise but not super low [no undies showing worries]. |

HA HA HA!!!! Oh no, 5'2" - on a hill top I may be 5'3". In heels I can be 5'5" cuz 3" is all I can do!! (Naughty thoughts ladies!!) Crap if I WERE 5'7" I'd be the right weight......almost. Thanks on the congrats! I need it, as I had someone grab me lunch and it was burrito - burp! - talk about bloat.

I generally like Gap lowrise or bootcut jeans but I *really* have to try them on...and like 5 pairs of the same size. I'm not quite 5'2" and wear anything from a 2P to a 6P so I seriously have to spend some time whenever I buy pants. Don't laugh, but Eddie Bauer also makes some nice jeans. I used to think they were all grandma jeans but they really aren't and i love the "height" of their lowrise (ie, low but not crack showing). Their petites seem to fit me well. Honestly, I hate most jeans. I must be a seriously weird shape or something because it takes me forever to find even one pair that fits me right. Jeans fact 101: Ever wonder why you can try on 5 pairs of the same size and they are all diff lengths? Denim is cut in huge stacks so the pants that are at the top of the pile are not the same as those at the bottom. Courtesy of an ex GAP girl, JTN |

Hmm, Ill have to go in AE and try some on. Wonder if they have any non trendy ones I can wear to work. NYCo and AE are both in our mall so Ill have to make a trip and see what I can find. Usually I get through 3 stores of trying on jeans and am so frustrated I give up. This gives me hope now. Thanks! |

Well I have a different problem trying to find jeans to fit.... I'm just under 5'6" with a 34" inseam - and I have a bubble butt with a 'short rise'. So if I get the longs, the waist ends up at my boobies or the crotch is halfway to my knees. If I get it so the waist fits, my poor butt is all squished in and not comfortable and the length is about 3 inches above my ankles. Breeches are the worst though - I ave yet to find a pair that fits right. Thank goodness I am far far removed from being a fashion maven - my friends all threaten to put my name in for what not to wear

THANK YOU! Whenever I find my size, I always buy as many pairs as they have in stock. I've always wondered why they never really seem to fit the exact same way. I thought perhaps I was just imagining it!

I am cheap, cheap, cheap, really, really hate to shop and am severely fashion challenged . So.... I buy the Costco Kirkland jeans. They are something like $13, fit similarly to Wranglers and really wear well.I need a body double to go and ship for me! |

Just had to dig this thread back up because I bought jeans this past weekend and it's day 3 and I'm still wearing the same pair (I need to wash them but they are so comfortable I don't want to put any of my other jeans on!) They are Levis 512 - Perfectly Slimming Bootcut. It says "flattens your tummy" so it might seem that they have some sort of inner panel, but they don't. I think the only thing that slims you is that they are "waist cut" and not "low rise" so if you don't have a muffin top! They are stretch but don't look stretchy. I think they are really great for those of us who are not really tall and super skinny! Frankly, I'm tired of the low rise jeans and I am short-waisted. But I'm tired of my back being exposed and can't find turtlenecks or t-shirts long enough to stay tucked into my other jeans (Levis 515s). The 512s are not boob-high....just belly button high. In my case, just high enough that you don't have any "flub" over the top but not "mom cut" jeans. Had to recommend them, especially to anyone not interested in low rise anymore! |
