Jetblue.com-- Richmond is a "hub" city or whatever, so is Orlando... thus the cheap fare. :)

I guess I'll be packing my back brace for the rides :( . I hadn't thought about that until just a little while ago. Oh well, I can always do the old lady/kiddie rides.

Was just there in October.

I am a Disney crazy adult so I will always go for my inner child. :cheer: Epcot is great I think--see all the countries in a day. The food festival was going when we went so it was awesome eatings! Missed getting on Soarings (now a reason to return ;) ), but rode the Mission to Mars--the "hard" side (maybe the "easy" side is nicer?). I will personally never do that again. Been there, done it. Felt urpy for a few hours. Don't have any desire to ever be an astronaut!

The Disney parks offer early or late hours if you stay at a Disney hotel. Plus shuttle service. Try the All Star Resorts (Music, Sport & Movie). They aren't fancy, but they are clean, priced well & do their job (place to sleep & shower). We ate dinner at their cafeteria style place too. We were at Music & they had a nice pool--again, not fancy, but if you want it's there (they showed outdoor movies at night & you could swim).

Sea World looks fun, but I haven't been in like 20 years so can't comment.

Went to Universal Studios (the movie side, not the roller coaster side) in Nov '03. I liked it. Would go again, but those are things I like to do. It's a little different than Disney--sort of like Disney Hollywood (was MGM), but with other characters?

Ocala is about 1.5 hours I would guess? From Disney which already starts you a little west of Orlando.

I think they may have gone out of business. Some of you adults ;) may have seen the mermaids many moons ago. Florida has THE BEST tacky roadside attractions.

Not very close, but a beautiful little village is Micanopy, Florida.

I would also recommend a trip to Ron Jon Surf Shop in Cocoa Beach.

If you go to the southern end of Merritt Island (the north end is NASA), you can find the plaque that says "BH1 lived here" :teehee:

I also forgot to mention because we stayed at a Disney resort hotel, there was also the "Magical Express" bus from/to Orlando airport to our hotels. We didn't have to bother with renting a car.
